I'm a first year Rabbinical student at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. This year, I'm studing at the Jerusalem campus of the college, and after that, I'll return stateside to Cincinnati, Ohio.
For the past six years, I have been a graduate student at the University of Rochester, where I am now a doctoral candidate. I'm currently completing my dissertation, on fatherhood in Old English literature.
In my spare time, I'm enjoying checking out all of Jerusalem's restaurants, coffee houses, museums, gardens, parks, and more! The Old City is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to wander, though I also enjoy wandering up and down Emek Refaim in the Germany Colony. As for places to eat, the hot chocolate cake at Cafit is one of the best desserts around! I'm still finding plenty of places to go Israeli Dancing in and around Jerusalem!
I spent my Sukkot vacation exploring Jerusalem, and then took off for Tel Aviv, Ein Gedi, the Dead Sea, and Eilat for a short vacation from the city. I'm still waiting to develop some pictures from Tel Aviv and some from my underwater camera -- there's nothing like snorkeling in the Red Sea!
That's enough about me! Take a look at pictures and updates from Jerusalem, favorite links, and more...
